Here's the baby sweater/hat/socks I made for my college roommate's baby. This was a fun project, I need to know more people having babies!
I made these socks for my mom for mother's day. The socks are fun when they're finished, but kind of a pain to make. I need to figure out the double circular knitting, so I can make 2 at once.

Shrug
My latest project has been the Fusion shrug from Ella Rae. It was really fun to make and super fast. I used a llama/silk blend. The only modification to the pattern I used was to make the back in one piece (instead of the 2 the pattern wanted).
I love the way it turned out. Now I've just got to find someplace beside lab to wear it.....

Knitting Club 2/7/08
This week we had a big group for knitting club. Megan and I hosted at our apartment and we had frozen pizza. All of us were working on very different projects.
My sweater: I finally finished the front so I was able to bind the shoulder of the front and the back together. It actually worked pretty slick. Again, I'm a bit worried it will be too big for me to really wear much, and after all the time/money/energy I've put into it I really want to LOVE it.

Megan's baby blanket: Megan is working on a blanket for her niece (expected in May?). This is her first knitting project, so I'm super proud of her work. I think she should finish this week, so my next post maybe they'll be pictures of the final product!
Lauren: I think she bought this yarn for a sweater, but decided to make a bag instead. I think it will turn out really neat, but is a long project with the size and all the cables.
Lindsey's hat: This week Lindsey was working on a hat for her friend Foot. I showed her how to use the double pointed needles for the shaping. Some pictures of the "in-progress" and then final result-it looks great and Foot loved it.
Aubrey's first night: This was Aubrey's first time knitting (2nd if you count the time her mom taught her when she was younger). We started her out with some really simple yarn and just a garter stitch scarf. Hopefully she'll enjoy knitting.

My first sweater
So here goes. My plan is to keep track of all my knitting projects, get advice and maybe show off a little?
I've started my first sweater. It's pretty basic, Knitting Pure and Simple's classic drop shoulder pullover for women (9729).
My original plan was to finish in 4 weeks (1 week for back, 1 week for front, and 2 weeks for sleeves and finishing), but I'm already falling behind a bit. I finished the back on schedule, but front I'm only a little more than half done and the weekend's almost over.
I think it's going OK. My stitches look pretty even and I like the color. I'm a little worried it might be a little to big even though I switched from the large to the medium size already.
